Continental Fast Food Restaurant

Tucked into a compact 250 sq. ft. footprint on bustling Arcot Road, Food Affair – #LustForFood is a continental fast-food bistro that delivers an experience far greater than its scale. Designed from the ground up, this space is more than a restaurant—it's a brand manifestation, born from a vision, built through grit, and styled with personality.

The space was conceptualized with an unmistakable rustic-industrial aesthetic—featuring high-definition brick-finish walls that evoke an urban loft feel, juxtaposed with a bold black-and-green ceiling to reinforce brand identity. Layered lighting, including recessed ambient fixtures and sharp task lights, was introduced to amplify the sense of volume in the narrow plan, while visually anchoring the interiors to the brand’s bold energy.

Designed for maximum efficiency and aesthetic recall, the layout utilizes slimline furniture in walnut-toned wood with bench seating and compact stools to optimize capacity without compromising comfort. The reception counter and service zone are backdropped by stacks of packaging boxes and a glowing light-strip detail—offering a theatrical, almost cinematic effect.

What sets this project apart is its origin story: from naming and branding to logo design, spatial planning, and finishing, the project was authored as a full-circle creative vision. Despite its intimate scale, Food Affair became a sensation—welcoming celebrity clientele, collaborating with local schools, and earning a strong community presence before its bittersweet closure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yet, its impact remains timeless. Food Affair stands as a testament to small-scale design done right—layered, intentional, and brimming with heart.
